WAYS I WAS ENCOURAGED THIS WEEK

WAYS I WAS ENCOURAGED THIS WEEK

Happy Saturday! I hope you had a wonderful week. It has been raining a lot where I live and it has been nice. I know a lot of people don't like gloomy and rainy days but I think they are fun. With the weather being like this I have been reading a lot, which is good if I'm going to make my reading goal from last week. I am finished with two books and have two more to read this week. I can do it! It has been fun to get back into reading and I have started to enjoy it again.

Today I wanted to share some things that really encouraged me this week as well as the things I am especially grateful for. Feel free to share things that you are grateful for or that encouraged you this week in the comment section below. I would love to hear!

Do you notice the little bee in the photo? I was so excited it was still enough to get a picture!

I signed up to be a part of Lara Casey's Summer Goal Setting Live Cast and it was good. I am an organized person and love setting goals and planning. It was great to learn about how to make those things happen.  I love talking about dreams and goals because I want everyone to thrive. I love watching people do what God has created them to do. It is great to see people flourish in what they are doing. I love Lara's mission about setting grace-filled goals.

If you are feeling stuck and want some encouragement, I highly recommend you listen to the replay of the live cast. You can watch it here.

The next thing that encouraged me was the City Church with Judah Smith: Becoming Yourself podcast. In this podcast, he talked about God's discipline and how it isn't a punishment but it is always for our good. My favorite part was when he said that by continuing to seek God in the midst of discipline we will become who we always wanted to be but didn't think we could be. In the process of discipline, we become more like Jesus. I might have given too much away but give it a listen and I hope it encourages you as much as it did me.

THINGS I AM THANKFUL FOR THIS WEEK

  1. My relationship with Jesus. His Spirit with me. His guidance. His truth. His grace. Thank You, Lord.
  2. Family. They have made me laugh a lot this week and are all around great.
  3. Reading.
  4. Rainy Days.
  5. God helping me persevere when I don't feel like working or doing things I need to.
  6. God's plans for me. I don't know entirely what they are but I am so excited.

I pray you have the best weekend and remember God loves you no matter what. Have a great day!
