Hello!

Welcome to my blog. I put a little bit of everything on here: recipes, faith, DIY and beauty posts. I am so glad you are here!

SUMMER WORDS + GOALS RECAP

SUMMER WORDS + GOALS RECAP

Wow, summer just flew by. The saying the days are long but the years are short is SO true. Today I am looking back at my words and goals that I had for this summer and seeing what I did from that list.

These were the words I picked to implement into my life this summer. When I look at each word I think I made good progress on them. I have learned a lot about encouragement, thriving, moving and peace this summer (and whole year!) and I am so excited to use what I learned and continue to grow in the coming months and years. I have learned a lot about what these things mean to me as well as how they each play out in my life.

Did you have any summer words or words for 2017? If so, what have you learned so far? I would love to hear!

I did fairly well with the goals I set for myself.

I read this summer.

Went camping (here is a little post I wrote about a waterfall we saw hiking).

I kind of worked ahead. Planned and brainstormed a lot, just haven't finished most things. But giving myself grace here because I did do a lot of good work.

I didn't go to valley fair due to a scheduling thing but that is okay.

This summer, we went on little adventures as a family. Like going to Munsinger Gardens, Lake George and other things like that.

My goal of having good family time was so fulfilled and I am so thankful to God for that. This summer, I feel like we have grown as a family and enjoy time together more than ever. Thank You, Lord.

I think when I wrote this goal my projects were a gardening project and my room makeover. The landscaping project isn't done (I am planning on working on it soon) and we decluttered and got rid of a lot of stuff in our room so all we have to do is paint and add shelves. I'm thinking about doing that next week.

My last goal was to go on late night walks. I didn't do this a lot but when I did, it was really fun and good for the soul.

Thank You, Lord, for a wonderful summer. Thank You for the laughter, adventure and family time. You are so good and wonderful. Bless the rest of the year and please help me bring You glory.
— Amen
