Hello!

Welcome to my blog. I put a little bit of everything on here: recipes, faith, DIY and beauty posts. I am so glad you are here!

MY FAVORITE KITCHEN HACKS

MY FAVORITE KITCHEN HACKS

I love to cook and it is always so much more enjoyable when you have tips and tricks that make it easier. Today I am sharing my favorite ways to make my time in the kitchen simpler. These are tips that I have found out myself or learned from others but I hope that they help you in your kitchen!

THE PEANUT BUTTER TRICK

Whenever you make peanut butter cookies you have to measure the peanut butter out. It is so much easier to scrape the measuring cup out if you spray it with cooking oil before you put the peanut butter in.

TWISTING GARLIC

When you have to chop a lot of garlic it can be annoying to have to peel it (not to mention time-consuming and messy), but I have found that if you twist the clove a couple times the skin will slide right off.

BOILING EGGS

I love having boiled eggs for breakfast but it is really sad when you try to peel them and half of the egg comes off with the shell. I don't know where we learned this trick: poking a hole in the top of the egg with a push pin helps it to have a clean peel. Once they are finished cooking, immediately strain and pour cold water over the eggs.

BREAD RISING TIP

One of our tried and true tips is to microwave a mug of water for a few minutes until it hot and then put the bread dough in the microwave for a while so it can rise. It makes a perfect steamy, moist and warm place for the bread to rise!

I hope you found these tips and tricks helpful. Do you have any to share in the comment section? I would love to hear.

Have the most wonderful day!
