Hello!

Welcome to my blog. I put a little bit of everything on here: recipes, faith, DIY and beauty posts. I am so glad you are here!

JUNE GOALS

Happy June! It is crazy how fast this year has flown by. How can it already be June?

Here are my goals for the month as well as an update on how I am doing on my goals for 2017. I love goal making but sometimes I am more into it than others. I have times where I really need the structure and motivation but others I feel like I'm not in the mood. This month I wasn't feeling excited about making goals it but, after watching Lara Casey refresh her goals, it inspired me to do my own. I also did this late Wednesday night. What is it about summer and getting motivated to do stuff late at night?

My goals for 2017 are:

LEARN CALLIGRAPHY

READ TWO BOOKS A MONTH

COLOR MORE

LEARN HOW TO LOVE MY FAMILY WELL

SEEK HEALTH

GROW IN MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

I'm sticking with my goals for this year but have some adjustments that I am making.

  • Instead of learn calligraphy (which I have) I am adjusting it to learn more art. What that means for me is to learn and grow in different areas of art such as watercolor and drawing.
  • For reading, I am not sticking to a specific number of books to read a month but just wanting to continue reading as much as a can. That may be more than two books a month or less but I am just trying to do what works best for me in that time.
  • I am taking out the color more goal because I was really into coloring when I made that goal and it isn't as fulfilling for me anymore.

I love that we can adjust our goals and reevaluate what works for us and what doesn't. With the changes I have made, this is what my goals for the year looks like now.

LEARN MORE ART

READ AS MUCH AS I CAN

LEARN HOW TO LOVE MY FAMILY WELL

SEEK HEALTH

GROW IN MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

With my goals of seeking health, learning how to love my family well, and growing in my relationship with God, I have made some good progress and learned a lot. I am planning on sharing some of the things I have learned in later blogposts.

When I was sitting down to write my goals for June, I split them up like they are done in the Cultivate What Matters Powersheets so there are goals for the month, week, and day. I am hoping to get Powersheets for Christmas (yes, I have already thought about it!). Here are my goals for June.

The goals I picked help me to lead a life of thriving and abundance. For example, in my daily goals I want to spend time unplugged. Unplugged for me sometimes means not being on a electronic, reading, or taking a walk, but my goal is spend sometime being quiet.

There are my goals for June! I hope this encouraged you and inspired you. I highly recommend checking out Lara Casey's blog about goal setting with a perspective of grace. Her writing is so good and fruitful.

Have the most beautiful day and weekend!
