Hello!

Welcome to my blog. I put a little bit of everything on here: recipes, faith, DIY and beauty posts. I am so glad you are here!

HOW I BLOG PLAN

HOW I BLOG PLAN

Blog planning for awhile overwhelmed me. I loved to plan but when I would start to think about planning posts months in advance, my head would turn into scrambled eggs and I wanted to give up. I didn't blog for a lot of last year and the beginning of this year because I wasn't getting into a good rhythm of posting, and at the time it didn't feel life giving or worth it. My parents encouraged me to keep at it and give it my best because it provided an amazing creative outlet. I started brainstorming and began to get excited about it again. When I started getting back into blogging, I focused on not overthinking it. The reason why it was making me overwhelmed in the first place was because I was overthinking it. I realized I didn't need to do that.

With that being said, I have found a good blog planning rhythm that has helped me stay consistent in my blogging. These things might work for you or they might not, but I highly encourage you to find what helps you, not overthink it and keep on track.

I have tried printable monthly and weekly calendars but I have found that all I need to plan and execute well is having an open view of the whole month.

Starting this past June, I have started posting Monday/Wednesday/Friday. When I can see what I'm doing not only that current week but also the next weeks, I can work ahead better. I have tried using an electronic planner but I just don't like them as much as paper ones. I love to write and it feels easier than when it is on a screen.

I am thinking about getting a planner for 2018 that has the monthly view as well as a simple daily section so that I can put my to do lists in that planner along with the monthly page for blogposts. I think it would be cool to have all my daily to do lists together so I can look back on them and see what I did that day.

I love me some sticky notes, especially if they are pretty ones. I use sticky notes for reminders to take pictures, post on Instagram, write little to do lists and everything in between. It helps to have something that I can attach easily to anything whether that be a wall, paper or a folder.

I use school folders to keep blog lists together. I have a lot of lists that I need to keep somewhere and this way they are in an easy place to get.

Last but not least, I have a plastic folder envelope that I keep to hold my planner, folders, and notebooks together. Having all my stuff together always is so nice if I want to take it with me somewhere to work because it is all ready to go.

My system is simple and doesn't cost much. It works so well for me and has helped me stay on track with my blogging goals and not feel like I'm drowning. I hope you enjoyed this post. Have the most wonderful day!
