It's spring! So sorry for the long absence. School is consuming a lot of my time and I needed a break. I hope to be posting more frequently from now on!
Emily at Jones Design Company answers these questions in a post ever so often and I thought it looked really fun. So currently I'm......
Spring and the sun that comes with it. Last week my family and I were taking our fence down and after finishing this past Saturday I rested in our hammock and it was so nice. I see a lot of hammock reading and napping in my future.
(Side Note: I could sleep anywhere. In the car, hammock, on the floor. I even slept on our cement front stoop last week for awhile just to nap in the sun. I am weird but love it!)
I go through seasons of reading books a lot and then stopping. I haven't really been reading a lot lately because I haven't gotten into the books but I think I just need to commit more time. The book I am reading, however, is Dreaming Spies by Laurie R. King that I got at the Dollar Tree. Yes, you read that right, the Dollar Tree. It is awesome because on Amazon it is $6.95 and I only got it for a dollar. Score.
Not much really. I went shopping this week with my sisters and got this primer. I really hope this primer works because my makeup looks really nice for awhile but after a few hours it melts off which is really frustrating. Have you used this primer?
A lot of things: Easter, school being done, prom, and SUMMER! I am a dreamer so I think about the future a lot but I also try to enjoy the moment. I love the verse Ephesians 3:20 and how it talks about how with God, He makes the most beautiful things. When I am going through hard times I sometimes think God is saying,"Elise, you wouldn't even believe what is ahead." He is so good!
Workout and get some exercise every day. Whether that be a HIIT workout, walking, or even doing jumping jacks and squats, just getting my heart rate up and moving my body. I also have found that I really like to listen to podcasts while I work out. Podcasts are one of my favorite things so I think it helps me accomplish my goal when I am listening to something I like while working.
Finishing up the school year and trying to get back into blogging regluary.
Being around people I love and laughing. Jessica Honeggar is in Africa visiting some of the women that make the beads for her company and she said in her Insta story that she loves how laughter isn't bound by language barriers. I love that.
This scar fade balm and it is working! I have had really bad acne so I have a lot of acne scars and it is nice to have found something that is working.
My new onesie! The girls at our youth group are having a pajama party so Sophia (my little sister) and I got onesies. It is really comfortable and cozy. At first when I saw the price I thought is wasn't going to be good quality but I was pleasantly suprised at the good quality.
Prom and blog posts.
I have been singing these songs throughout the day:
Bless the Broken Road by Jess and Gabriel
Abba by Jonathan David and Melissa Helser
Glorious Grace by Austen Stone Worship
My eyebrows done. Haha.
Trying to learn how to watercolor. Watching Ruth Chou Simons watercolor is so fun and I hopefully can learn how to do it.
Since I covered the songs I am listening/singing to above I will share my favorite podcasts:
The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey
The Jep and Jess Show
It was warm consistently, but I can't complain because the winter in Minnesota has been really mild this year.
Getting ready for Easter celebrations this week!
What I will do after I graduate next year. It is so crazy to think that I am going to be graduating high school next year but I can't wait. I am so excited for what God has in store!
What are you up to? I would love to hear!
